The core training includes the following specializations over 36 months (3 years): Internal Medicine (Inpatient and Outpatient), Night Float, Geriatrics, ICU/Critical Care, Cardiology, Nephrology, Clinic, HemOnc/Palliative, Rheumatology, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, and Electives (including, but not limited to Anesthesiology, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Hospice, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Pathology, Pulmonary, Radiology, Rheumatology, Urology, Women’s Health).
The program uses a 4+1 block diagram. The clinic is dispersed in one-week blocks between each rotation (except two-week rotations), totaling up to 60 half days of clinic per year.
The Gastroenterology experience is received during the Internal Medicine Inpatient rotations, and the Addiction Medicine experience is covered during the ICU/Critical Care rotations. Residents can swap out up to three months of Internal Medicine Inpatient rotations for Outpatient Internal Medicine rotations.

Core Didactics: Lunch Lectures, Tumor Boards, Morbidity and Mortality, Simulation Training, Journal Club, Economics of Healthcare Systems (e.g., Risk-Benefit Analysis, Cost-Effectiveness, Insurance Models), Debt Management/Financial Counseling
