Ann Impens, Ph.D., M.P.H.
Biography
As the Downers Grove Director of Clinical Research Services, Dr. Impens’ focus is on development and management of human clinical trials. Dr. Impens collaborates with all clinicians throughout аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County to design and implement clinical research studies to meet the objectives of each institution.
From 2005 through 2011, Dr. Impens was a research investigator in the Scleroderma Program at the University of Michigan. Her expertise centers on patient-reported outcome measures in clinical trials and specifically the validity of such measures in systemic sclerosis clinical trials. Dr. Impens has presented research at various medical and psychology conferences, and has published in rheumatology journals, BMC Health Services Research, BMJ Open, and Journal of Compassionate Health Care.
